the sweet
another powerfull riff (like Stone Cold Crazy by Queen).
this band is called the Sweet. they were UK glam/hard-rock band, formed in late 60s. Sweet's classic lineup was:
Brian Conolly(R.I.P.)-voc
Andy Scott-guit
Steve Priest-bass/voc|
Mick Tucker(R.I.P.)-dr
Conolly left the band in 1979 an soon whole Sweet broke up (1982)
this song is called Burnin' ,it was recorded in 1973 and it's 100% pure rock'n roll...
mott the hoople
i had put video of All the Young Dudes with Ian Hunter from Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, so now here's Ian with rest of his band Mott the Hoople.
song: Rock'n Roll Queen
freddie mercury tribute concert(2)
another greeeeat performance from the Freddie Mercury concert.
this time it is Ian Hunter (Mott the Hoople), David Bowie, Mick Ronson, Queen and Joe Elliot/Phil Collen form Def Leppard.
All the Young Dudes was written by Bowie for the Mott the Hoople guys. this song is on the Rolling Stones 500 greatest songs of all time (#253) and Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame's 500 sons that Shaped Rock'n Roll. list of bands and artist who cover this song is fuckin' long so i won't put it here. All the Young Dudes is considered glam rock anthem.
freddie mercury tribute concert(1)
this is the best live version of Heroes perfomed by members of Queen, David Bowie and Mick Ronson. they played it on Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert on 20 april 1992.

mötley crüe
sooo here's the best band on this planet: Mötley fuckin'Crüe!!!
this video was shoot before they were signed to elektra. it's 1981 and they're are young, loud, agressive and sleazy.
saw them last year and after 30 years they still kicks ass!
long live mötley crüe!!!
david bowie with mick ronson
i'm amazed by the sick solo that Mick Ronson (R.I.P.) did on this live version of David Bowie's- Moonage Daydream. this guy was reaaaly great guitarist.
i'm still shocked i never heard this version before...
new york dolls
i decided to start with New York Doll's jet boy video, maybe 'cause i'm listing to them right now.
for those who didn't know who the dolls are (shame on you!)
they started in 1971 in new york with David Johansen(voc) Johnny Thunders (guitar, R.I.P.) Billy Murcia (dr,R.I.P., he died in 1972 and was repleced by Jerry Nolan) Arthur 'Killer' Kane (bass, R.I.P.) and Sylvain Sylvain(guitar- although Rick Rivets played at begining but he was replaced). they play straight-in-your-face rock'n roll (some calls them protopunk or glam punk). the Dolls had looks, attitude and some major writing skills. sadly they broke up after 5 years in 1976 but surviving members reunite in 2004.
i consider them as one of the best and most underrated bands ever!

i don't wanna start with writing some emotional bullshit 'cause this blog is about music.
i'm gonna put here videos of my favourite bands/artists and maybe a lil' bit of their biographies, so...
